Initial Financial Planning Services for New Clients:
- Comprehensive Financial Plan. The comprehensive plan includes in-depth analysis and recommendations on all areas of your financial situation. Topics covered include cash and debt management, retirement planning, tax planning, investment analysis and recommendations, education planning, insurance analysis and other relevant issues. The process requires client interaction in meetings, data gathering and clarification of financial goals and positions. Implementation is the final part of the process. We are available for six months to assist you in implementing the financial plan.
- Non-Comprehensive Life Plan. This is an opportunity for clients to participate in an interactive, consensus-based session with both planners. You bring all your data to the meeting and we plan together for two hours working on as many of the six basic areas of financial planning (cash management, debt management, retirement planning, tax planning, insurance planning and investing) as time permits. A one-hour second meeting follows where the planners present the written life plan document. This service is appropriate for those going through any kind of major life change or those with less complicated planning needs.
Ongoing Financial Advice:
New clients may choose from two ways of working with Wiiken & Gorman on an ongoing basis after the initial financial planning work is completed.
- Financial Management. This service includes regular meetings, quarterly portfolio reporting and unlimited access to us during the year for financial needs as clients bring them to our attention. The client needs $500,000 of investable assets to qualify for this service. This service is appropriate for those with larger portfolios who wish to work in close partnership with Wiiken & Gorman to reach or maintain financial independence.
- Retainer Clients. This service includes an annual meeting, 1-2 hours, where we review financial changes, evaluate investment selections and update the client’s financial strategy. Clients can expect 1-2 additional hours of contact per year with firm planners as issues arise. This service is appropriate for those with smaller portfolios who wish to work with Wiiken & Gorman to reach or maintain financial independence.
